Hey Powercruiser's... so with about 2 1/2 months to go we are steadily steaming towards the second annual Powercruise event at Taupo Motorsport Park.

In Case you aren't aware yet, Powercruise is NZ's Wildest Cruising Car Show! The place where you can do everything your not allowed to do anywhere else. For a little taste of a day at Powercruise check out our promo clip HERE

Entry Forms are out now and you can pick up your copy from your local Supercheap Auto Store, or download your copy HERE. We also offer an online entry HERE. The Entry Fee is $120 up until 4th October so make sure you get your entry in nice and early and you'll save yourself a few bucks!

Garages are SOLD OUT for Supercheap Auto Powercruise #27, but you can secure your garage for next years event if you wanna get in early. More info in the Entrants section of this webpage.

So guys and girls, dates are set for 2010 Supercheap Auto Powercruise at Taupo Motorsport Park....

Entry forms are due for release on 2nd August 2010, which is not far away at all now. We'll be posting out entry forms to all of last years Powercruise entrants, and as always you can pick up entry forms from your local Supercheap Auto Store or download from the entrants section of our Taupo website.

We will be offering online entries again this year, but we will not be offering credit card as a payment option due to internation EFTPOS and Credit Card requirements.

So if you haven't already booked your accomadation in Taupo yet, give Cathy & Greg a call at 300 Lake Terrace Apartments, Taupo on 0800 300 309. These guys are great supporters of Powercruise and will be happy to help you out with your accomadation needs!

We have decided not to go ahead with a Powercruise in Christchurch in 2010 as we were a little short on time to promote the event successfully so we're going to give it another year to see how the interest goes for one in 2011. So if you wanna see another Powercruise in NZ, spread the word and get those registrations rolling in!

Powercruise Possibly Hits Christchurch 2011?

Hi Powercruiser’s

Seems Powercruise was such a hit we have been swamped with questions from South Islanders asking if we can bring Powercruise to POWERBUILT Raceway at Ruapuna Park just outside of Christchurch. So I made the trip over in January 2010, checked out the venue and chatted with the raceway manager and it seems we could very well have a Powercruise at Christchurch but I just have to find out from the punters the level of support from entrants and sponsors we might receive.

So with that said I have a link below for anyone from the south island or even if you’re from the north island and would travel to the south to cruise at Powercruise at Ruapuna Park. This will give me a better idea of the possibilities of running Powercruise on the south island as well as in Taupo. The event would be in November 2011 as there is still plenty of time to organise it so please register your interest if you would like to be a part of this event and see if we can’t bring Powercruise to the rest of NZ.

Now that was huuge!!!!

Welcome to the Supercheap Auto Powercruise #21 which has just been run and won at Taupo Motorsport Park NZ and what an event it was.

Firstly a massive thanks has to go out to all of the entrants that beleived in Powercruise and knew that we would turn it on for them at our first event in NZ. Everyone now knows how we roll and what it's like to cruise, race, drift and skid your way around the track at Powercruise so it just gets bigger and better from here. We found everyone to be very cool to deal with, with only a few over excited people being asked to back it off half a turn on the track which is amazing seeing it was the first time anyone in NZ had experienced Powercruise so it's certainly a credit to all the entrants who came out for the first Powercruise. Like i always say your all helping to mould the future of our brand of motorsport so thanks again.

To Supercheap Auto, Matt, Logan and the crew (see i did remember your names) thanks for the support all the way guys as well as our aussie SCA guys I'd like to thank you all and lets keep the good times rolling.

I'll have results and pics up soon. I'll also do a wrap up of all the little things that went on which were funny and some not so funny like the guy who tried to reversed up the armco on the straight. He is ok but his driving skills will need some attention. Top bloke though and i'm sure he will be back. The 625m Powerskid on Sunday was a bit hairy and we'll have that on a utube link soon. The dyno was interesting with Reece Fish taking round 1 with 1200+ at the treads. I cant wait to see him keep it straight at the drags and see what it's got and we might just see that as i'll be inviting Reece to a Powercruise in Australia in 2010 if he's up for it seeing he did win the bet on the dyno we had running.

Anyway all that cool stuff will be in the wrap up so keep watching and keep sending in the cool thank you e-mails. I never get sick of replying to them or reading them so thanks again to everyone who had a hand in making it possible to bring our party to NZ and dont forget you can relive it all in HD DVD just order one from the website soon as the price goes up after the 1st of December.

Thanks to everyone who made a gold coin donation when they signed up to be a passenger at Supercheap Auto Powercruise #21, all up $1008.40 was raised which has been donated to the Starship Foundation!!
